Age-Friendly Harvard
On March 19, 2019, the Massachusetts Chapter of AARP presented the Town with an Age-Friendly Community certificate designating Harvard as one of the few Age-Friendly Communities in the State of Massachusetts. Membership in this network means simply that Harvard's elected leadership has made the commitment to actively work toward making the town a great place for people of all ages. The AARP program supports the efforts of towns like Harvard to provide safe, walkable streets; age-friendly housing and transportation options; access to needed services; and opportunities for residents of all ages to participate in community life. This page will provide age-friendly resources for those interested in the program and ideas regarding what Harvard could consider as age-friendly goals and objectives.
