Swimming lessons are no longer limited by age, are held in the mornings and are offered from Water Tot Infants to Red Cross Level 6 Lifeguard Readiness. For those with other morning commitments, limited private lessons are available in the afternoons and on Saturdays and are designed to not disturb other beach users. The old wooden 2nd raft and old metal lifeguard chairs have been replaced with new re-cycled plastic units and all of the beach ropes are new replacing the sharp polyethylene ones. We are also looking to resurrect the Green Harvester to keep the weeds “mowed” in the swim and mooring areas.

In addition, we will be back to a full boating program. The boat lottery is complete and there are a few spots left. Thanks to generous donations by the Bare Hill Rowing Association and the Harvard Lions Club, we have added a “Yakport” to assist getting in and out of your boats. Boat rentals have already begun and are self service. We have canoes, kayaks, SUPs, a pedal boat and a row boat for rent. We are looking to allow sailboat to be rented also. Youth sailing and paddling lessons are available in the afternoon at beginner and advanced levels. We have 7 new sailboats for the program and their new home will be on a low profile dock, paid with CPC funds, so that half of the class is not spent trying to get out of the cove. Adult sailing lessons and Family paddles are available on Saturdays.
